What is a ghost track?
It's a track that operated in the past, has now
closed, but some remains of the track still exist. Westwood Motorsport
Park and Pinecrest Speedway are closed but they are
not ghost tracks
because all remains of the track and facitlities have been removed.
Follow the links below and you'll find some examples of Canadian ghost tracks. The photos are not of the tracks in their heyday but as they appear today, long after they were last used. There are more ghost tracks in Canada than I have listed here, but these are the ones that I have photos of.
For a list of all speedways that have existed in Canada see the Canadian Track Database.
Update: After many years I finally realized that having ghost track pages separate from the track database was redundant. All the ghost track photos have been moved to the corresponding entry in the track database.
