Located on the same property as the Mosport road course, but well outside the road course
Was originally built as a clay oval in the spring of 1989
The opening weekened was a USAC Midget and Sprint Car event was scheduled for July 15-16
The USAC event was cancelled after the Midgets tore up the track surface and it was determined that the track was not safe for racing
The track was paved late that summer
A USAC Sprint Car event was held on September 16-17, 1989
The races were rained out on September 16 and the program ws rolled into the Sunday, with Gary Fedewa winning the 30 lap feature and Wayne Hammond taking the 40 lapper
A few nights of racing on the paved oval were conducted in the fall
Regular Saturday night racing began in 1990
Paul Heffernan was the promoter from 1989-1991
Hosted ISMA Supermodifieds from 1991-1994
Hosted the American-Canadian Tour from 1990-1994
Hosted the CASCAR Super Series in 1992 and then from 1998 to 2006
