Ghost Track Photos

This is how Moosehead Premium Dry Speedway looked in December of 2003. These photos come to CanadianRacer.com courtesy of Terry Dalton who was visiting relatives in Nova Scotia and was kind enough to make a visit and take some photos.

For a track that only shut down two years previously to these photos, there wasn't much left. The grandstands wee gone and most of the track surface had been ripped up. The pavement for the front straight was still intact. The corners and back straight were roughly visible. The front wall and fence were still there and the start/finish line could still be seen. In looking at the Google satellite photos it appears that the track surface was removed slowly, finally disappearing completely by 2010.
