  • First event was Nov 1, 1953 with nine cars
  • This was the first sports car race in Alberta
  • Used for three events in 1954 - a Calgary Sports Car Club (CSCC) event on May 24 and a Winnipeg Sports Car Club event on July 1 and another CSCC event on August 15
  • The May 24 event also included motorcycle races organized by the Calgary Motorcycle Racing Club and sanctioned by the Canadian Motorcycle Association
  • The site was also known as Skypark Airport
