• Stock car racing opened June 23, 1951
• Promoter was Kenneth Merrill Enterprises
• Raced Wednesday nights at 8:15pm
• May have only ran during the annual fair in 1953
• Weekly races ended after the 1954 season due to noise complaints and concern for the horses in the nearby stables
• Annual motorcycle races in 1955-57 and in the 1960s
• Races were canceled in 1967 due to noise complaints
• The races were back in 1970
